Wapda won 67th National Track Cycling Championship with 13 gold, 6 silver & 3 Bronze Medals Followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 93 Points 1 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze at Velodrome Lahore.
Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) Successfully Conducted 67th National Track Cycling Championship at Lahore from 26th-28th November 2022 at Velodrome Nishter Sports Complex Lahore. Col (r) Asif Dar & Sheikh Farooq President Body Building Federation was the guest of honor for closing ceremony and they awarded the winners with Medals, Trophies and prizes. 106 cyclists of total 09 teams belonging to 4 provinces, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, POF Wah, Bikestan and Wapda took part in the championship. Wapda won the overall championship in Men Elite Teams 90 points followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Men Elite with 48 points. Syed Aqib Shah from Wapda was declared the best Cyclist in Elite category with total 45 points he also made a new national record, he was followed by Mr. Izzat Ullah Wapda with 25 points. Mr. Afnan Aziz from Bikestan Cycling Academy is declared as best junior cyclist with 19 points followed by Kareem Khan from Balochistan with 17 points. Miss Rajia Shabeer from Wapda is declared the best cyclist in Women Elite Category with 60 points followed by Natalia Khan from Punjab with 25 points. Miss Fatima Tahir from Punjab became best cyclist in Women Junior category with 30 points followed by Remsha from Sindh with 20 points.
Besides large number of general public, officials of various sports organizations also graced the opening ceremony. A six number team of special children also performed during this championship. TW
