It was unbelievable that an Indian executive was sacked for Urinating traveler on a fellow passenger on a flight. Services of Shankar Mishra, vice president of the banking giant Wells Fargo’s India operations, was terminated after a 72-year-old woman complained about the incident. Mishra, who was drunk on the flight, unzipped his pants and urinated on the elderly woman. The complaint came after a member of the victim’s family wrote to the airlines about the ordeal immediately after the incident took place. The culprit subsequently disappeared and switched off his mobile phone but made a credit card transaction which gave away his location and he was accordingly arrested. The airline’s cabin crew has come under fire for allowing the man to walk away after they had witnessed the offensive act. Moreover, the airline also faced severe criticism for its response to the case as it had not filed an official complaint until a more than a month after the incident. Later the victim said that when Mishra sobered up, he apologised and began crying and begged her not to lodge any complaints. Mishra also released a statement stating that he had reached a settlement with the woman he allegedly urinated on and paid her compensation. TW
