Twitter Musk spends a fortune to remain consistently in the news and now he has practically jumped into the frying pan. Twitter Musk has emerged as an extremely powerful tool in the hands of anyone who has access to the internet often creating bad blood along with positively energising wide array of contacts and global relationships. Musk was known to be aiming at taking a deep dive into the fractious world of mass media and finally succeeded in getting hold of twitter set-up for a whopping $44 billion equivalent to almost two years of Pakistani exports. Calling Twitter a digital town square where important matters are discussed, Musk posted his comments in a tweet, promising to make Twitter better by enhancing features and eliminating spam bots. He may soon face tremendous challenge to his newly acquired empire when he tries to tackle the all-encompassing bots that have already made a mockery of free speech and trend-making as was borne out by the very small number of operatives creating a make-believe world in Pakistan. Netizens have been mostly amused but some are unhappy with the turn of events suspecting that Musk’s egocentricity may prove a problem for the global platform in the long run. TW
