Pakistan’s six-member team will participate in the World Road Cycling Championship, the championship will be held from September 18 to 25 in Wollongong, Australia. Pakistan Cycling Federation President Syed Azhar Ali Shah while talking to the media said that Pakistan Cycling Federation, the trials were held in Quetta, Karachi, and Lahore to participate in the road championship.
For the final trial, selected players from all provinces participated in Lahore, in which the best performing players were selected for the Pakistan team. Zainab Rizwan, Rabia Gharib, and Maryam Aslam in junior women and Najeebullah and M Ismail Anwar in men were selected. Najeebullah and Muhammad Ismail, two players of the Pakistan cycling team will participate in individual road and under-23 road individual events.
For the first time, Pakistan’s junior athlete Maryam Aslam will participate in individual road and road races. The World Road Cycling Championship will be held in Australia from September 18 to 25.
