PIA again

The PIA again powerful in Pakistan consistently reveal their tendency to do what they want without caring two-hoots about anyone but themselves. The latest outrage committed by the powerful running PIA was to leave hapless passengers stranded just to cater to the whims of the family members of their top hierarchy. It was reported that the destination of the PIA flight PK-860, which was supposed to arrive from Saudi Arabia, was changed at the eleventh hour leaving 150 Umra pilgrims clueless at the Jeddah Airport. Jeddah-Karachi passengers were given two options – either to adjust to the Lahore flight or to wait for the next Karachi-bound flight. The PIA spokesperson cited unforeseen operational issues as the reasons for the diversion, saying that passengers travelling from Jeddah to Karachi will be brought by flight PK-732. It was however reported that the wife and mother-in-law of PIA CEO Muhammad Amir Hayat were not ready to wait for the next flight from Jeddah to Lahore and their pressure made the change of destination from Karachi to Lahore highly inconveniencing the returning Umrah passengers.
