Amidst a much-awaited tour of the England team. The PCB Spat was roundly taken to task. When former cricket captain Shahid Afridi alleged. That the PCB has grossly neglected to arrange medical care. It mentions that Shaheen Shah was bearing all the expenses for his rehabilitation abroad. Shahid Afridi said that Shaheen paid for his own ticket. And he (Shahid) has arranged a doctor for him adding that the PCB is providing nothing to Shaheen.
Shaheen Shah injured his right knee. During the first test against Sri Lanka in Galle in July. And missed the second Test of the series. As well as Pakistan’s tour of the Netherlands and the recently-concluded Asia Cup. His rehabilitation period initially slates to end on 28 August.
But he was then also ruled out of this month’s seven-match T20 series against England at home after Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel decided to send him to England as he was unable to recover from the injury.
