Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami comes from the long line of people who are dedicated to journalism. He is a self-made journalism wizard who has risen high in his profession and has effectively carved out a niche for himself in the highly competitive genre of journalism. He is one of the few grass-root journalists who successively established his own media house that has gained in credibility over the period of time. His point of view is well-regarded and his analyses are considered imperative signifying future course of action. During his long career Shami has created a veritable yardstick now considered essential in journalistic nuances.
Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami is currently the chief editor of Urdu daily Pakistan that heads the circulation figures in the country. He is considered disposed towards centre-right orientation within the mainstream Urdu journalism widely acknowledged to be rightist and, in certain cases, following ultra-rightist tendencies.
