The KP bureaucrats threaten strike caretaker administration in KP is reportedly behaving rather rudely as became evident by the threat given by bureaucratic machinery of the province to go on pen-down strike accusing information minister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel of overstepping his powers by trying to occupy the office of additional secretary of the department. The minister claimed that he visited the secretary’s office and wanted to sit on his chair but the latter did not allow that prompting him to step out. Extremely ironically, the minister mentioned that he occupied the same chair during an earlier visit to the office alleging that the province’s bureaucracy had a tilt to the former ruling PTI. The minister described his visit to seek details of official vehicles used by the families of bureaucrats that were not provided to him despite reminder. The provincial bureaucracy resented the minister’s unbecoming conduct towards bureaucracy and asked the caretaker chief minister to act against him to prevent a pen-down strike by government officials. Referring to minister’s allegation about not providing required details pointed out that according to the Constitution and Elections Act 2017 has declared that the mandate of caretakers was just to hold free and fair elections and not to take policy decisions.
