Islamic World Celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr – Muslims all over the world completed the month of Ramzan with piety and devotion and were looking forward to celebrate the end of the holy month. The Islamic world duly celebrated Eid though the celebrations did not take place on the same day as has become a regular occurrence. Though Pakistan celebrated Eid on Saturday but many countries had marked Eid on Friday. However, all through the Islamic world the Eid was celebrated with traditional religious zeal and fervour.
Special prayers were offered on Eid and a large gathering took place at the grand Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. Eid prayers were also performed at the Grand Mosque in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Muslims gathered on the first day of Eid Fitr outside the Dome of the Rock at the Al-Aqsa mosques complex in the Old City of Jerusalem. There was a big gathering that came together to pray on Eid at Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara, Turkiye. One large gathering prayed at al-Hara al-Rabaa Mosque in the Juraif Gharb neighbourhood of Khartoum, Sudan though the country is in grip of violence. Eid prayers were also performed at the Basra Grand Mosque in Iraq.
Muslims performed their Eidul Fitr prayers at one of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums, “Education City Stadium” at Al Rayyan, Qatar. Muslims also gathered to offer Eid prayers at the municipal stadium in the rebel-held northwestern city of Idlib, Syria. Muslim Eid prayers were also offered at the Jama Masjid mosque in the old quarters of New Delhi, India. Along with the Islamic world Muslims living in many countries also performed Eid prayers including the Mevlana Mosque in Rotterdam, Netherlands and in the suburbs of Lakemba in Sydney, Australia.
