Though Indians Accidental projectile officially regretted that a missile accidentally strayed into Pakistan attributing the incident to a technical malfunction but this incident raised more questions than provided answers. The Indians reacted to the press conference of ISPR stating that a high-speed flying object was picked up inside the Indian territory by Air Defence Operations Centre of the Pakistan Air Force that violated Pakistan’s air space ultimately falling near Mian Channu. It was an Accidental projectile mentioned that it was a supersonic flying object, most probably a missile, but it was certainly unarmed though the flight path of this object endangered many international and domestic passenger flights as well as human life and property on ground. It was rightly pointed out that this incident portrayed an abject disregard for aviation safety and reflected very poorly on the technological prowess and procedural efficiency of Indians. The matter, however, has also reflected on the fact that the flying object remained in the air space of Pakistan for some time but it was not downed raising concerns about the Pakistani air defence system as it was aware of the origin of the territory the object originated from and leaving it traveling unmolested clearly caused a breach in the much-touted SOPs.
